Continuing a push for a clean-energy bill that would expand Wisconsin’s use of renewable power, the Doyle administration on Thursday released a consultant’s report that found programs run by the state Focus on Energy program have added more than 5,000 jobs to the state’s economy since 2001.
The study is the latest in a series of studies that have found a big payoff in terms of reduction in carbon emissions and savings on energy bills from a bigger investment in energy efficiency, as well as job creation. That includes a study the Doyle administration released last month.
