Can anyone cite their own experiences on why the EPA is not good for America?
2000, Waimea Bay, Oahu, Hawaii…an avalanche cause the road to become blocked. If you lived on one side of the road, the only way around to Schofield Barracks was to drive 2 hours around the island. The quickest solution to the problem was to blast the rocks and clean up the road, and put up a protective barrier.
But no, the EPA stepped in and said they had to protect an endangered snail that may live in the rocks. It took almost a year to clean that up because scientist had to come out and inspect ever single rock to make sure it was safe to carry away and safely returned to nature.
So in the meantime people consumed more energy, more resources, more time, more money..causing more harm on the environment, just to protect a snail??? True Story…now whats yours?
@ smells like – uh no…did you read the story. That would be 2 hours there, and 2 hours back everyday for a year. And everybody had to do it that lived on North Shore!
